June and July are the best time to pick berries in Alsace. It is also a good opportunity to experience the countryside, relax and have a chat with locals. We like this activity a lot. Local farmer’s markets have a lot of berries, but the prices will stop you from buying in bulk. At the fields, we can choose the best berries and buy literally kilograms of them :).
Pick berries: what, when, where
Fruits available for picking: strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, red and white currants, gooseberries, blackcurrants, and blackberries.
Price: approximately 6.80 euro per kilo of raspberries, cash. Strawberries: 4.20 per kilo.
Time: mid-May – July, check the schedule on the website below.
