Alsace summer activities are literally endless and sometimes hard to choose: animals? hikes? camping? lakes? rope parks or water activities?
Location of the barefoot trail below is great as you can do at least 5(!) things: mountain biking, summer Alpine sledding, rope park, hiking Lac Blanc, and exploring barefoot trail, posted below:
Alsace summer activities: “Sentier pieds nus”
“Sentier pieds nus du Lac Blanc” is located in the middle of the Vosges, attractive, vivid mountain massive in the west part of Alsace.
It is paid attraction, good for any ages, and not expensive (around 20 euro for 2 adults and 2 kids). Accessible approximately from May to September.
We spent around 1.5 at the trail, with no rush.

Information boards and boxes with smells of the forest: you are trying to guess, then check if you are right or not:

Blueberries: still something left (we were visiting at the end of July):

Trail terrain has different coverings: wood logs, pebbles, hay, water, etc.:

Nature in Alsace reminds us our previous home, Washington state, a lot.. Same wet forest, ferns, and tall, emerald-green moss:

If you don’t know French, no problem, information boards translated to English (not always but pretty often in a entertaining places like this in Alsace):

If you are lucky enough, you can spot some animals who live in the Vosges forest from info boards:
