Strasbourg Day Trip: Cool Museum in 30 min From the City

Strasbourg day trip: Europe’s first “all you can touch” house exhibition, interactive museum, and park. Good during any weather, for all ages

Weber Haus World of Living is a nice idea for a family outing on a warm or a cold day. You can visit all: museum, the playground/park and house exposition or just opt for one. The place is just 15km away and can work as a Strasbourg day trip – just pack a picnic.

Hans Weber company began in 1960 as a two-man carpentry business and within just a few years became one of Germany’s largest construction companies for single- and two-family homes.

Weber Haus got numerous awards for their innovative, sustainable, energy efficient, prefabricated wooden houses.

2. Weber Haus Playground

,There is a lot of creative play structures, pond, double seat tricycles, and trails to ride on. The most interesting for us was this tree house:

There are plenty of shade at the playground and two-seat tricycles, our kids likes them a lot.

3. House Exhibition Park

Prestigious villa, smart home, innovative bungalow, etc… A vast diversity of houses to explore:

First houses, just one-story, you’ll see after exiting the museum:

Interesting, that at the house expositions you can also see/touch, how house is functioning from the inside:

For us the most interesting were kids bedrooms:

The houses are very different in form, size, etc.:

One of the kitchens:

I liked that all the plants were real:

American style home:

There were a lot of homes, some of them we didn’t have time to visit during the first time. Some homes has huge, floor to celling windows. Overall, it felt like you just came to visit someone:
