Luckily, canopy tours and zip lines not only very popular in Europe, but also possible to try out with smallest kids, pretty affordable, and often you are not limited in time to spend one the course.
This post about Alsace adventure with kids, one of the several canopy tour and zip line places around. We chose to try this one, as Vosges mountains are simply magical in this particular spot.
We saw many canopy and zip line places in Netherlands, Germany, and France, and were always amazed how huge they are, sometimes look as big sa football field!
Alsace adventure with kids
Address: 344, Station, Lac Blanc, 68370 Orbey
Website: lacblancparcdaventures
Open: approximately from the end of April to end of September
Time to spend: from a 1.5 hour to half a day. We brought picnic lunch and stayed from 12 to 7pm, with taking a break
Must have: closed-toe shoes!
For all our children it was very first experience with canopy tour and zip line. Artem, 15 y.o. tried the black, hardest trail, Erika, 10 y.o., and Andrew, 7 y.o. were completely independent and tried all trails several times.
Pictured below: Erika trying zip line, for the very first time in her life:

Pictured below: Andrew during “test run”, a place where you can try how everything works (and ask questions) before going to the forest:

Erika and Andrew on the trail: it’s already getting more challenging:

Below: the most important: safety locks. You can’t unlock both locks at the same time (it impossible), one always stays locked on the cord providing safety.
This way even smallest kids can go on the canopy trail being independent, as they always will be attached to the security system:

Pictured below: sign at the trail for the smallest children, parents stay on the ground nearby. (chatting, having some wine/beer/picnicing, etc):

In the picture below you can see two trails, for smaller and bigger climbers:

In the video below: Erika zip lining through the forest:
Extra:
Alpine coaster and barefoot trail located nearby, if you have time, you can try all 3 activities in one day.
